A response to dwelling in the past, future or present and a reminder that beginnings and endings are frequent.
The programmed percussion was recorded on location in Lindean Community Woodland beside the Ettrick river just east of Selkirk. It is the sounds of tree trunks and branches in the woodland and stones in the burn.
lyrics
The rock said to the tree
You should ask me what I've seen
You should ask me of the life
That I have lived, that I have lived, that I have lived
Mm, mm, mm
Is it over?
Is it over?
Has the circle of the sun come round again?
The tree sighed and stretched a limb
Well yes but when I'm done
Growin roots and leaves
An followin, followin the sun
Mm, mm, mm
Is it over?
Is it over?
Has the circle of the sun come round again?
The wind rushed around them
Said I've come from the horizon
And this moment
Is the best
I've ever seen
Mm, mm, mm
Is it over?
Is it over?
Has the circle of the sun come round again?
Is it over?
Is it over?
Has the circle of the sun come round again?
Mm, mm, mm

Love the complexity of this track and the rising and falling of the violins, and the texture. Makes me want to dance.
Thank you so much for this album. I really love it, and find it really inspiring my own work on the Witchcraft Trials ❤️ tararosehip
